Voices from the River Styx

"...I did not know that
Pleasure and pain

Blood and stitches

Made us always kin

But now I know this physical bond

Keeps hurting and tearing all the while

Shrouding my agony in a sinister smile

Across the distance

Across the time

For me here on the mound

And you there in the ground."

-- Agony

"I will carry my grief
Upon my swollen breast

And walk the lonely forest

As I start upon my quest.

I shall find the answers

To the tragedy of my life

I'll take one step at a time

As I pursue my strife..."

-- I Will Carry My Grief

"Memory
is the

Flashback

That gives

Today Hope

and Tomorrow Strength."

-- Memory

"I am ready
To begin life anew

Each day

Until the benign

Indifference of

The Universe

Snuffs my flickering

Lights out!"

-- Why weep for me?
